Support the Playhouse
The Rabbittown Theatre Company is opening the
New World Theatre Project as part of the Cupids 400 celebrations in 2010.
The focal point for the inaugural year of this legacy project is the design and construction of a portable interpretation of an
Elizabethan-style Playhouse.
Working with national and international partners like Shakespeare's Globe Centre of Canada and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, The Playhouse will spend the summer of 2010 on the coastline of Cupids, Newfoundland and will tour both on and off the island in years to come. This is a unique opportunity for you to be a part of the beginning of a major cultural initiative.
There are various ways in which you can support the construction of The Playhouse:
Step onto Your Stage - $75
Your name inscribed on a 6" x 4" section along the apron trim of the stage, at the feet of the actors and for the eyes of the groundlings. There are only 144 spaces available.
Purchase Your Plank - $150
Your name inscribed, facing outwards, at the top end of the 9" wide wooden planks surrounding the audience stalls. There are only 140 planks available.
